Nigerian music stars Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Ayra Starr have submitted their albums and singles for consideration at the 2026 Grammy Awards, raising hopes for another big year for Afrobeats on the global stage.

Burna Boy entered his latest album No Sign of Weakness in both the prestigious Album of the Year and Best Global Album categories.

His chart topping singles Last Last and For My Hand were submitted for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, while his track Love was entered in the Best African Music Performance category.

Wizkid also put forward his project Morayo for Album of the Year and Best Global Album. His single Piece of My Heart was submitted for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, while his collaboration with Ayra Starr, Gimme Dat, is competing in the Best African Music Performance category.

Ayra Starr, one of Nigeria’s rising stars, submitted her hit single Hot Body for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

She also joins Wizkid with Gimme Dat in the Best African Music Performance category, giving her double representation at the awards.

These submissions come ahead of the official Grammy nominations announcement, and all three Nigerian stars are tipped to be strong contenders.
