A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon Tom Ebiakpo Willy has further poured cold water on calls for zoning the Burutu Federal Constituency seat.
The erstwhile supervisory councillor stated this when the Burutu Credibility Front led by Darlington Owan paid him a consultative visit over the weekend at his Warri residence.
Tom Willy, who had earlier quashed the attempted calls for equity in Burutu, reiterated that he who calls for must come with equity.

Aligning himself with the BCF, the business mogul faulted the equity train, saying there is balance in the political architecture of Burutu.
Willy also stated that an equity train led by an opposition member is already a gong out of tone that should not taken serious.
Noting that he is aware of the gimmicks of some desperate people to hijack power by all means necessary, Willy labeled the equity move as a witch-hunt.
“What they’re doing is a witch hunt because, not long ago, someone against the right thinking of Burutu people, broke the order to become a two-time Council Chairman.
“It has never happened before but it happened. Some of us kept quiet after consulting. Why are they now calling for equity?
“He that calls for equity must first come with clean hands. They cannot call for equity and balance,” he stressed.
Willy particularly rejected the equity calls on the premise that his primary constituency, Odimodi/Ogulagha Ward 11 has suffered marginalization despite contributing greatly to the economic growth of Burutu and Delta State.
He further declared his support for the incumbent Burutu Federal Constituency representative, Hon Julius Pondi’s third term bid at the Green Chambers.
“As for me as an Ogulagha man, the Ogulagha people have been greatly marginalized. For the records, we’ve not had equity in the politics of Burutu.
“And today, if a son of Ogulagha is able to wriggle his way and seek for third term, I am in support of it,” he stressed.
Willy further commended the BCF for its stance in Burutu politics. He charged that the group should not limit its campaign activities to just a certain circle of the PDP.
The Burutu Credibility Front is a pro-PDP group leading the calls for every credible member of the party to be given the chance to contest at the forthcoming general elections in the local government area.
