The leadership of Burutu Local Government has recognized His Royal Majesty, Dr. Ekioemi Oweiagbe John as the traditional ruler of Operemor kingdom.
The pronouncement was made by the Council Chairman, Godknows Angele when the Burutu Council of Traditional Rulers paid him a visit to introduce Dr. Ekioemi.
According to the Council of Traditional Rulers, Ekioemi has been unanimously accepted as the authentic paramount ruler of Operemor, and would be treated in same guise henceforth.

The Council stressed that Dr. Ekioemi will no longer be addressed as Pere-elect, but as the Ebenanawei of Operemor kingdom.
On his part, Angele, who welcomed King Ekioemi to the fold of traditional rulers under Burutu Council, assured that necessary steps would be followed through for the Delta State Government to present the monarch with his Staff of Office.
