Foremost Ijaw leader, Pa Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, on Tuesday endorsed the lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency, Julius Pondi for a third term at the Green Chambers.

Clark gave his fatherly blessings to the lawmaker when Pondi paid him a courtesy call at his Abuja residence.

Pondi had intimated the elder statesman on his activities so far before seeking his permission and blessings to run for a third time.

In his remark, Pondi posited that a return to the National Assembly will avail him the opportunity to consolidate on his efforts so far.

Clark exercised pride on the achievements of Pondi for the last seven years, assuring the lawmaker of his vehement support for his third term ambition.

The former Information Minister also offered to join hands with the lawmaker towards ensuring that the bill for an Act to Establish the College of Fisheries and Aquaculture in Tuomo and other bills by Pondi, successfully passes the legislative process and gain the required assent by Mr. president, as it would birth the first set of national institutions in Burutu Federal Constituency.

He further called on party faithfuls and other leaders to support the lawmaker, who in his rating has performed excellently.
