The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Thursday that the draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, on July 4.
The draw will be conducted at the SuperSport studios in South Africa.
Fifty-two countries will be divided into 12 groups of four teams each, competing for spots in the finals.

The qualifiers will begin in September 2024 to determine the 24 nations that will compete in Morocco in 2025.
The draw ceremony will be attended by selected CAF legends, representatives of the participating teams, and members of the Local Organising Committee for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, among others.
Côte d’Ivoire won the last AFCON edition, defeating Nigeria 2-1 in the final.
