Residents of Obuguru Community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State have sent out a desperate SOS to the government, as they face an imminent threat of extinction due to severe coastal erosion.

The community, which lies along the banks of the Forcados River, is grappling with the persistent loss of its land, driven by the relentless pounding of sea waves.
