A presidential candidate in the forthcoming Ijaw Youth Council general elections, Comrade Telema Pollyn have described the death of Captain Pa Sam Owonaru as a colossal loss to Ijaw Nation.

While describing the death of the Niger Delta revolutionary as shocking, Telema recounted the effect of his days as fruitful.

He further described the late Deputy Commanding Officer to Major Jasper Adaka Boro as a bold and proactive soldier whose contribution to the betterment of Ijaw nation can never be overemphasized.

“The death of the Captain who deputized Major Boro in championing a 12-day revolution for the NIGER DELTA Republic is a great loss to Ijaw nation,” Telema stated.

The presidential candidate also pray to God to the give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

comrade Telema is one of twelve Ijaw youths from the Eastern Zone of the Ijaw Youth Council, battling for the seat of the president of Council.
