Carragher Criticizes Casemiro After Manchester United’s 4-0 Loss to Crystal Palace

Casemiro

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher claimed on Monday that “football has left” Manchester United’s Casemiro.

Carragher made the comment on Monday Night Football after United suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace.

Casemiro played as a centre-back in the match and was responsible for errors leading to Palace’s first and final goals.

Carragher shared his thoughts on Sky Sports after the game.

“I am nowhere near what that man has achieved, winning the Champions League, playing for Brazil and Real Madrid.

“But I always remember something when I retired myself, there’s a saying I always remember: Leave the football, before the football leaves you. Football has left him at this top level. He has to call it a day and move.

“They should pay him off and do some sort of deal. But that sort of a player should not be put through this.

“He’s not playing Manchester City or Real Madrid, all due to respect to Crystal Palace. A man of that level should not go through what he’s going through and has to call it a day.”
