The ex-Arsenal goalie also mentioned that the Spain international is an hard-working player.

Cech revealed this ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Recall, the 32-year-old captain last weekend led his side to their first FIFA Club World Cup victory after defeating Palmeiras 2-1 in the final.

He found the penalty with which Kai Havertz scored the winning goal for Chelsea during the second half of the extra-time.

Following Saturday’s victory against the Brazilian club, Azpilicueta has won every trophy available to him since he moved to Stamford Bridge from Marseille in 2012.

Cech told Chelsea’s official website: “Azpi [Cesar Azpilicueta] has now won everything, and that is an amazing achievement. All the credit goes to him.”

“When he arrived in 2012, he came first to compete for his spot. He had a long-term injury the year before, so he had had a difficult time before he came to us. He had to start from scratch, fighting for his place.”

“He is one of those players who never disappoints you. He works hard, he does everything. He is an honest player on the pitch, and off the pitch, he works hard.”
