The Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ) has convened a multi-stakeholder dialogue aimed at reducing recurring ethnic tensions among the Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo communities in Warri, Delta State.
The dialogue, held in Warri, brought together community leaders, security agencies, civil society groups and residents to promote peaceful coexistence and strengthen unity across the Warri Federal Constituency.

CEPEJ National Coordinator, Sheriff Mulade, said the initiative was part of efforts to sustain peace in the area, noting that conflicts can be reduced through deliberate engagement and cooperation among stakeholders.

Participants at the event stressed the need for unity among ethnic groups and encouraged residents to work together to maintain stability and development in the area.
The event also featured a unity drama presentation and the inauguration of a 20-member Warri Indigenes and Residents Peacebuilding Committee tasked with sustaining dialogue and preventing future conflicts.
