CHAN: Nigeria bottom of Group D after Senegal defeat

After halftime, the Super Eagles surged forward but hit Senegal’s solid back line again and again.

With 15 minutes left, Christian Kobi pounced on a loose ball in the box and fired past the keeper to secure the win for Senegal.

Senegal now lead Group D with three points. Congo and Sudan each sit on one point after drawing their opener, while Nigeria remain scoreless.

Next Tuesday at Zanzibar’s Amman Stadium, Nigeria must beat Sudan if they want to keep their CHAN hopes alive.
