Veteran entertainer Charles Oputa, known as Charly Boy, has emphasized that the real work begins now after the first day of the nationwide EndBadGovernance protest.

Charly Boy urged Nigerians to maintain the pressure until the government realizes that the mood is shifting. He observed that the protest was a clear sign that many Nigerians have awakened to the fact that the government has been indifferent to their needs.

On Monday, people across several states rallied in large numbers. Reacting to the demonstration, Charly Boy posted on X:

“Brave, strong, and determined Nigerian youths, you’ve made me proud today. Congratulations on a job well done, but our work has just begun.

“As many of us have awakened to the reality that the government doesn’t care about us, we must continue fighting to reclaim our future. Let’s keep up the pressure so this corrupt government understands that change is coming. They should never feel safe unless they start taking the necessary actions.

“The salvation of Nigeria rests in the hands of its exceptional youths. I salute you all.”
