Eric Chelle, head coach of the Super Eagles, has reportedly made far-reaching demands in his proposed contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
According to details of the proposal, Chelle requested a monthly salary of $130,000, a private SUV with chauffeur and security, and full autonomy over team selection. He also demanded 24-hour uninterrupted electricity at his official residence, citing the need for constant access to power for match analysis, staff coordination, and player monitoring.

Part of the proposal reportedly reads: “House in a well-secured environment with 24hrs uninterrupted power supply (electricity).”
The coach also asked for a private SUV equipped with GPS to support movement during official duties. The terms further state: “Private car (SUV) with a chauffeur and security. GPS provision.”
In addition, Chelle requested that the NFF issue formal working contracts for his entire technical crew and personal assistant, with salaries paid on or before the 30th of every month. He also asked that his personal assistant be included in the federation’s bonus and allowance structure.
The proposed contract reportedly emphasizes strict adherence to salary timelines and existing NFF bonus frameworks, reflecting concerns over delayed payments that have historically affected the national team’s technical staff.
As of the time of this report, the NFF has not publicly responded to the details of the proposed contract or confirmed whether negotiations are ongoing.
