Chelsea has initiated discussions with Napoli in their pursuit of signing Victor Osimhen this summer.

According to reports by Di Marzio, the Blues are prepared to make a substantial effort to secure the Super Eagles striker for the next season.

The proposed deal involves a payment of around €80-90 million, plus Romelu Lukaku, who is currently on loan at Roma, and potentially a young player.

Chelsea, however, will have to compete with Paris Saint-Germain to secure Osimhen’s transfer.

The French Ligue 1 champions are willing to meet Osimhen’s €120 million release clause and offer him a four-year contract with a salary of €13 million per season.

Chelsea’s financial limitations and the need to comply with the Premier League’s Profit & Sustainability Regulations (PSR) might force them to withdraw from the race.
