Chelsea have shown interest in signing £50 million-rated Nottingham Forest defender Murillo under manager Enzo Maresca.
Following Thiago Silva’s departure, the Premier League club from west London is actively seeking a new central defender. They have already made an initial move for Boca Juniors’ highly regarded defender Aaron Anselmino.
Chelsea aims to recruit a defender who can immediately compete for a starting spot, and Murillo fits their criteria after an impressive debut season at Nottingham Forest.

According to Brazilian outlet UOL, Chelsea have approached Nottingham Forest to open discussions about a potential deal for Murillo. However, Forest is holding out for a £50 million fee for the 21-year-old centre-back.
The report also indicates that Chelsea has communicated they won’t meet Forest’s valuation and are exploring the possibility of including two players in their offer to help offset the transfer cost.
