As Nigeria marks Children’s Day, John Metchie, the deputy commander-general of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Services (NHFSS), has called on the government to make youth welfare a top priority.

In his message to Nigerian children, Metchie explained the importance of investing in the younger generation’s well-being.

He also encouraged parents to dedicate quality time to their children, fostering a better society and securing a bright future.

Metchie stressed that the celebration serves as a reminder for leaders to prioritize children’s welfare.

Furthermore, he urged the government to collaborate with the NHFSS to address the persistent threats against schools and children, ensuring their safety and security.

He said:

“I, on behalf of my family and the entire team at the NHFSS, extend warm congratulations to Nigerian children on the occasion of the 2024 Children’s Day.”
