American rapper Chris Brown has been arrested in Manchester in connection with an alleged violent incident that took place at a London nightclub in 2023.
The 36-year-old was detained by officers from the Metropolitan Police at The Lowry Hotel shortly after 2 a.m. on Thursday.
The arrest is linked to an incident on February 19, 2023, at Tape nightclub in Hanover Square, Mayfair, where Brown is accused of attacking music producer Abe Diaw.

Diaw alleges that the assault occurred around 3 a.m. during a night out, describing the encounter as sudden and unprovoked.
Brown reportedly arrived in the UK a day earlier via private jet, landing at Manchester Airport. After a report by The Sun revealed his location, officers from London made their way to Manchester to carry out the arrest.
He remains in police custody as questioning continues.
Confirming the arrest, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody. The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023.”
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
