Christmas: FG Reveals Transport Companies, Routes For 50% Fare Slash Package

The federal government has revealed the names of private inter-state transport companies that Nigerians will use for the 50 per cent fare slash package.

The government also released a list of 28 routes where travelers will enjoy a 50 per cent discount during the Yuletide period.

Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu announced the development in a tweet on Thursday, December 21.

Onanuga stated that FG has partnered with at least five transport companies, including God is Good (GIG), Chisco Transport, Young Shall Grow, God Bless Ezenwata, and Area Motor.

The routes included Lagos to Kano, Lagos to Abuja, Lagos to Kaduna-Zaria, Lagos to Jos, Lagos to Enugu, Lagos to Onitsha, Owerri, Aba, Abakaliki, Nsukka, Uyo, and Port Harcourt.

Passengers traveling on the routes of Onitsha to Kano, and Onitsha to Lagos, Jos, Abuja, Sokoto, Gombe, and Zakibiam have also been listed to benefit from the government packages.

Onanuga added that the package is estimated for five million Nigerian travelers between December 21 and January 4.
