Portal to reopen for Nigeria’s paramilitary agencies on Monday, July 21, 2025.
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has temporarily suspended its recruitment application portal to improve system efficiency and manage the surge in applications.
The Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. AM Jibril (retd.), announced the development in a statement issued Wednesday in Abuja.
According to the statement, the suspension affects the portal dedicated to recruiting personnel into the board’s paramilitary agencies, including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service, and Nigerian Correctional Service.

“This development will ensure that the portal accommodates the high volume of applications while guaranteeing a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process,” Jibril said.

The board revealed that the portal will reopen on Monday, July 21, 2025, and advised applicants to monitor updates and submit their applications promptly when the system is restored.
“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies,” the board stated. “We remain committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process.”
The CDCFIB reaffirmed its commitment to a credible process and thanked Nigerians for their patience during the temporary suspension.
