Comedian Broda Shaggi Reportedly Hospitalised After Alleged Gunshot During Skit in Ogun

Popular Nigerian comedian and social media influencer Samuel Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggi, has reportedly been hospitalised after he was allegedly shot while filming a comedy skit in Sango-Ota.

The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday afternoon beneath the Sango-Ota bridge in Ogun State.

Although the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, a police source who spoke anonymously said the comedian sustained a gunshot injury during the filming of a skit at the location.

According to the source, Broda Shaggi was immediately rushed to Blooming Care Hospital, where medical personnel provided initial treatment.

“He was shooting a skit under the Sango-Ota bridge when he sustained a gunshot injury. We don’t have details on how it happened yet, but his crew members who were present quickly rushed him to the hospital,” the source said.

Medical staff at the hospital reportedly administered first aid shortly after he arrived.

Further findings later revealed that the content creator was referred to Duchess International Hospital in the Government Residential Area of Ikeja, where he is currently recovering.

Attempts by journalists to contact both hospitals for confirmation were unsuccessful, as calls made to the phone numbers listed on their social media pages did not connect. Text messages sent to the facilities had also not received responses at the time of filing the report
