Security operatives in Kebbi state have shown that there would be no tolerance for banditry and terrorism, as they take down the leader of notorious bandit group, Lakurawa.
This was ascertained during a heated battle between a combined force of security operatives and vigilantes in the state, and the Lakurawa bandits on Thursday, March 6.
According to a statement released by the Director of Security at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi, AbdulRahman Zagga the leader, identified as Maigemu was shot during an intense gun duel.
He was taken down by a combined team of security agents and local vigilantes while working on intelligence,” he said

Also confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Force, Kebbi State Command, Nafiu Abubakar said the operation was a success as a result of a combined efforts between the security forces.
He also added that two guns and an handset was recovered from the bandits.
