The Asobo family in Mbagen, Buruku Local Government Area of Benue State is deeply distressed by the unexplained disappearance of their son, Bishop Sylvester Asobo.
According to Mr Theduis Asobo, the head of the family, Sylvester Asobo was declared wanted by the police in Kaduna State due to alleged blasphemy on March 5, 2018.
The Bishop, who leads the Kingdom Citizens International Bible Church, has neither been arrested nor sighted anywhere since the Kaduna State Police Command issued the warrant for his arrest in 2018.
The police authorities declared the Bishop wanted for repeatedly preaching against a specific Muslim religious sect.

Theduis Asobo stated that anyone with relevant information about Bishop’s whereabouts should promptly report to the nearest police station.
He said:
“The police in declaring him wanted, urged anyone with useful information about him to report to the nearest police station.”
Despite extensive efforts, the 54-year-old Bishop was last seen in the Birnin Gwari area of Kaduna State on March 5, 2018, and his location remains a mystery.
Meanwhile, Mansir Hassan, the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), could not be reached for comment as his phone number was unreachable.
