The immediate past President of the Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers (NALPGAM), Olatunbosun Oladapo, has projected a further reduction in the price of cooking gas across Nigeria in the coming days.
Oladapo made this known in an exclusive interview with Daily Post on Monday, following the recent decline in gas prices as nationwide supply improves.

Reports indicate that in Abuja, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) retailers are currently selling the product at ₦1,500 per kilogram, down from ₦2,000 just weeks ago.
Major marketers such as NIPCO, AA Rano, Ranoil, and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) now sell LPG between ₦1,090 and ₦1,100 per litre, a decrease from the previous ₦1,200 rate.
Reacting to the trend, Oladapo expressed optimism that the price drop would continue, noting the significance of ensuring product availability as the festive season approaches.
“We still want the price of gas to come down further. The festive season is approaching, and the most important thing is ensuring the product’s availability. Let’s see how the price goes in one or two weeks,” he said.
