Corp members, Two Others Sent To Kirikiri Prison For Fighting Policemen | Daily Report Nigeria

Four people have been remanded at the Kirikiri prison for assaulting police officers.

According to reports, three National Youth Service Corps members and one music producer were remanded in the Kirikiri maximum in Apapa, Lagos by a Magistrate court sitting in Ogba on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, for “serious assault” on officers”.

The defendants are 33-year-old producer, Tito Odigie, and Miracle Onukuoforobi, 27, a student of Igbinedion University, 31-year-old Bolade Richard, and 26-year-old Oyedeji Motunrayo, who are both corps members.

In a video which captured the incident, the young men could be seen engaging a group of policemen in fisticuffs.

One of them was captured on film pushing off a policeman’s cap, which he later seized upon picking it from the ground.

According to the Lagos State Police Command, both parties had video recordings that were reviewed.
