Court Issues Warrant Arrest Against British Citizen, Others Over #EndBadGovernance Protest | Daily Report Nigeria

A Federal High Court in Abuja has issued a warrant of arrest against a British citizen, Andrew Wynne, and three other Nigerians for allegedly plotting to remove President Bola Tinubu and promoting terrorism.”

Justice Emeka Nwite granted the motion ex-parte filed by the Inspector-General of Police, seeking an order for the arrest of Andrew Martin Wynne (aka Andrew Povich), Lucky Ehis Obiyan, Comrade Abdullahi Musa, and others for allegedly planning and coordinating the invasion and burning down of the High Court Complex, NCC office, and Printing Press in Kano.

The affidavit in support of the motion stated that the investigation so far conducted revealed that the fleeing defendants were allegedly responsible for planning and coordination of the invasion and burning down of the High Court Complex, NCC office, and Printing Press in Kano.

Justice Nwite described the motion as “meritorious” and granted the application in the interest of justice.

This development comes after Justice Nwite had ordered the remand of 10 #EndBadGovernance protesters in Kuje and Suleija Correctional Centres on Monday, sparking criticism from activists who accused the judge of violating democratic principles.
