A Federal High Court sitting in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, has nullified governorship primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.
The ruling Justice Aminu Bappa, declared the PDP governorship candidate of the state, Dauda Lawan Dare as illegal as the granted all prayers of the plaintiffs.
Delivering judgment, Justice Bappa said;

“The court has granted the prayers submitted in this honourable court by the plaintiffs and hereby rules in their favour.
“The 109-page judgment will be presented to the counsel of both the plaintiffs and the defendants.”
The All Progressives Congress had sought the court to nullify the election that produced Dauda on the grounds of numerous irregularities.
Addressing journalists shortly after the judgment, the All Progressives Congress counsel, Ibrahim Aliyu, said;
“We are happy today as the court has answered our prayers and cancelled the election of Dauda Lawan Dare as the PDP candidate in Zamfara State.
“We had in our prayers urged the court to nullify the election, which was characterised by a series of irregularities and we are happy that our prayers have been granted.”
