Court Reinstates Ifeanyi Ararume as NNPCL Chairman

The Federal High Court Abuja, has reinstated Ifeanyi Ararume as the non-executive Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL).

Justice Inyang Ekwo ruled that for the wrongful removal and interruption of the term of office as the non-executive chairman of the NNPCL, Ararume would go home with the sum of five billion naira as damages.

The judge further ruled that all decisions and resolutions of the Board of the NNPCL made behind Ararume from January 17, 2022, to date were null and void.
