A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has sacked Chijioke Edeoga as the governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for Enugu State.
The ruling is sequel to a suit filed by Evarest Nnaji, popularly referred to as Odengene, challenging the primary election that produced Chijioke as the party’s candidate.
Delivering judgment, Justice Evelyn Maha dismissed the primary election and ordered for the party to conduct a fresh primary election within 14 days.

Both Chijioke and Nnaji were members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before defecting to the LP to battle for the party’s governorship ticket ahead the 2023 elections.
