5 people have been arraigned in an Ekiti court for their involvement in prostitution.
Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the defendants, identified as Oluwatosin Ogundahunsi (30) Achu Jenifer (40), Joy Emmanuel (45), Hellen John (42) and Aminat Abiola (34) were paraded before a chief Magistrate court sitting in Ado-Ekiti.

Speaking during the hearing, the prosecuting counsel, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi noted that the accused were arrested on March 6, at around 10pm while parading themselves as prostitution at Ado-Ekiti.
He added that the offence committed was punishable under sections 156(1) and 181(1)(d) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.

The Defendant counsel, Barr Adunni Olanipekun and A. Opaleke on the other hand asked the court to tamper justice with mercy, and grant their clients bail.
The presiding judge, Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun granted the defendants a bail of N10,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till January 28, 2025, for hearing.
