The 19 Northern States Governors in Nigeria have agreed to take the first doses of COVID-19 vaccines when they arrive in the country.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the forum and Governor of Plateau state, Simon Lalong, in an address at a webinar organised by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation.
While the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine were discussed at the webinar, the Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Dalandi Atu, said that the Northern Governors have agreed to take the first doses of the vaccine.

Also, Prof Clara Ejembi of the Department of Community Medicine at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, stressed the need for people to continue practicing preventive measures against COVID-19.
