Cristiano Ronaldo Confirms Euro 2024 Will Be His Last Tournament

Cristiano Ronaldo

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that Euro 2024 will be his final tournament. Ronaldo made this revelation after Portugal’s dramatic Round of 16 win against Slovenia on Monday night, which was decided by penalties.

During the match, the 39-year-old missed a chance to score in extra time when his penalty was saved by Jan Oblak. However, he successfully converted his spot-kick in the shoot-out, and goalkeeper Diogo Costa made three crucial saves to secure Portugal’s victory.

“This will be my last Euro, of course,” Ronaldo told reporters. “But I’m not moved by this. I’m moved by enthusiasm. I felt for the fans. I’ll always give my best for this shirt, whether I miss or not. I’ll continue to take responsibility and give my all.”
