Croatian club NK Istra 1961 has officially announced the acquisition of Salim Fago Lawal, the talented striker from the Flying Eagles.

Coming from Nigerian side Mavlon FC, the 20-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Green and Yellows.

During the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina, Lawal played a key role for the Flying Eagles and managed to score one goal in five appearances.

Unfortunately, the Flying Eagles’ journey came to an end in the quarter-finals, where they were eliminated by South Korea.

Despite receiving multiple offers, Mavlon FC decided to allow Lawal to continue his development in Croatia with his new club.
