The deceased, identified as Olotu Wanemi Omubo was said to have been trailed to his girlfriend’s house, where he was shot at close range.

This happened at Goodnews Street, along Azikoro town at about 9pm on Thursday, April 24, 2025 in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.
Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the deceased was said to be the leader of the Bobos cult group before his death.
It was gathered that the gunmen, who are said to be members of a rival group shot him three times at close range after which they confirmed he was dead before fleeing the scene.
A resident of the area who confirmed the incident noted that the shooting comes in-between a long term rivalry between the two groups.
There would be more killings if the police and the state government failed to intervene. Innocent persons were k!lled at Swali when they did not see the cult boys”, a resident from Azikoro said
