Nigerian actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande has strongly denied a report claiming she had an affair with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

On Monday, Dakore Egbuson-Akande took to Instagram to address the viral rumors, which had linked her to Akpabio as one of his alleged ‘side chicks.’ She stated that she has never met Akpabio and is deeply disturbed by the false claims.

“I received numerous messages and calls this morning about a vicious lie,” she wrote. “I am shocked and appalled. I have never met the Senate President, nor have I ever been in the same room with him, let alone be his side chick. I’m happily married with two children. It is deeply upsetting that a malicious blogger would use my name in such false allegations.”

She added that she is prepared to take legal action against those spreading the rumors and offered a reward of N5 million for anyone who can provide evidence of her involvement with Akpabio. “I’m not going to accept this or stay silent about it,” she concluded.
