Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has been released from police custody. He was freed on August 29, 2024, six days after being detained over allegations of defamation made by Davido.

Dammy had claimed in posts on X that he was arrested on Davido’s orders. The news of his release was shared by social media commentator Verydarkman (VDM).

In a trending Instagram video, Dammy offered an apology to Davido, expressing regret over the accusations.

VDM’s caption read, “Dammy Krane is out. Dear @davido, as you have honored me by responding to my plea in under 4 hours, I believe God will honor you. I hope Dammy Krane now focuses on his music.”

In the video, Dammy said, “I want to thank my brother. There are things I shouldn’t have said. I apologize for the allegations regarding Tagbo’s death. David is still my brother, and we will work to resolve everything.”
