The collective wealth of Africa’s billionaires has risen from $82.4 billion in 2024 to $105 billion in 2025.
Four Nigerian business moguls have secured spots on Forbes’ 2025 list of Africa’s billionaires, reaffirming their dominance in the continent’s economic landscape.
The prestigious ranking, released on Saturday, highlighted a significant surge in the collective wealth of Africa’s billionaires, rising from $82.4 billion in 2024 to $105 billion in 2025.
Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, topped the list with an impressive net worth of $23.9 billion, a remarkable increase from $13.9 billion in 2024.
Forbes attributed the surge to the valuation of his Dangote Petroleum Refinery, which played a crucial role in his financial growth.
Other Nigerian billionaires on the list include Mike Adenuga, Abdulsamad Rabiu, and Femi Otedola, who secured the 5th, 6th, and 16th positions respectively.

The ranking excludes Sudanese-born billionaire Mo Ibrahim and South African Nathan Kirsh, who operate outside of Africa.
