Four Nigerian business moguls have secured spots on Forbes’ 2025 list of Africa’s billionaires, reaffirming their dominance in the continent’s economic landscape.

The prestigious ranking, released on Saturday, highlighted a significant surge in the collective wealth of Africa’s billionaires, rising from $82.4 billion in 2024 to $105 billion in 2025.

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, topped the list with an impressive net worth of $23.9 billion, a remarkable increase from $13.9 billion in 2024.

Forbes attributed the surge to the valuation of his Dangote Petroleum Refinery, which played a crucial role in his financial growth.

Other Nigerian billionaires on the list include Mike Adenuga, Abdulsamad Rabiu, and Femi Otedola, who secured the 5th, 6th, and 16th positions respectively.

The list also featured billionaires from other African countries, including South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. Forbes noted that the net worth calculations were based on stock prices and currency exchange rates as of March 7, 2025.

The ranking excludes Sudanese-born billionaire Mo Ibrahim and South African Nathan Kirsh, who operate outside of Africa.

US Imports Over 2 Million Barrels of Jet Fuel from Dangote Refinery

The United States has imported over two million barrels of aviation fuel from the Dangote refinery in March, according to a statement by the refinery on Tuesday.

The refinery confirmed that six vessels carrying around 1.7 million barrels of jet fuel from the Dangote refinery arrived at US ports this month.
