Company hails FG’s support, vows to stabilise fuel supply, cut inflation
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced it will commence the nationwide distribution of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and diesel from August 15, 2025, offering free delivery services to registered fuel dealers, manufacturers, telecom firms, aviation operators, and other large-scale users across Nigeria.
According to an official update posted on its verified X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday, the company will roll out 4,000 new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered tankers to support the initiative, which it described as a transformative step for Nigeria’s energy market.
“Effective 15th of August 2025, the Refinery will begin the distribution of PMS and diesel, with free logistics to boost the distribution network,” the statement read.

As part of this effort, the refinery is also establishing CNG daughter booster stations and mini-distribution hubs to increase access while promoting cleaner energy alternatives.
More than 100 CNG-powered tankers will serve as backup for areas not covered by the core fleet.
The company said the move would cut logistics costs, expand fuel availability, and help revive dormant petrol stations, especially in underserved rural regions. It’s also expected to stimulate job creation across the fuel supply chain and ease the energy burden on small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs).

The refinery has introduced a credit facility for bulk buyers. Any registered entity that purchases a minimum of 500,000 litres will qualify for an additional 500,000 litres on credit, repayable within two weeks, provided a valid bank guarantee is submitted.
The company noted that the Federal Government’s Naira-for-Crude exchange scheme played a key role in stabilising its production and pricing amid global volatility.
“This initiative is designed to make energy affordable, accessible, and sustainable for all Nigerians — urban and rural, industrial and small-scale,” the company stated.
