Award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido has donated the sum of two hundred and fifty million naira to orphanages in Nigeria.

The singer has decided to donate the N200 million naira given to him by his friends and fans for his birthday, and also added a personal donation of N50 million which would be sent to the orphanages.

In a statement he released this afternoon, the N250 million is to be distributed to orphanages across the country. The statement also revealed that there would be a five-man committee to oversee the distribution of the funds.
