The Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs has announced the recipients of the 2023 national awards, including notable Nigerians such as Davido and Kunle Afolayan.
Davido, a prominent Afrobeats artist known for his exceptional music, was awarded the Officer Of The Order of The Niger (OON).
Afolayan, a multiple-award-winning movie producer, was also awarded the OON for his contributions to the Nigerian film industry.

Additionally, Victor Osimhen, a talented footballer who played for Napoli and the Super Eagles, received the Member of The Order of Federal Republic (MFR) award after an outstanding season with Napoli.
Terry Waya, a well-known socialite and businessman, was also awarded in the OFR (Order of the Federal Republic) cadre.
Award recipients were obliged to send a soft copy of their citation or resume to the ministry before May 31.
Furthermore, the ministry requested all recipients to be physically present for the collection of their medals and certificates on June 1, 2023.
