Davido, the Nigerian Afrobeats artist, recently shared that he doesn’t maintain communication with his fellow artists, Wizkid and Burna Boy. He made this revelation during an interview on the American show Sway’s Universe.
When the host, Sway, inquired about their communication, OBO indicated they don’t stay in touch. Additionally, he played down the comparison often drawn between himself, Wizkid, and Burna Boy.
Despite the perception that they are the top three Afrobeats artists globally, Davido asserted that he sees himself as the sole big Afrobeats artist. This statement contrasts assumptions about their collective status in the industry.

It’s worth noting that Davido previously mentioned in an interview last year that both Wizkid and Burna Boy reached out to him after the tragic loss of his first son, Ifeanyi, in a swimming pool accident.
