Deborah Samuel: Parents Open Restaurant In Port Harcourt

1 Min Read

Parents of the late Ms. Deborah Yakubu, who was killed by a mob over alleged blasphemy have become restaurant owners in Port Harcourt, Rivers State’s capital city.

The deceased was accused of blaspheming Islam’s Prophet Muhammad and was set ablaze by her Muslim course mates at the premises of the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto State where she was a student.

After the incident sparked reactions, a Port Harcourt-based Christian clergyman, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere asked the family to relocate to his city.

The Apostle sheltered them afterwards and enrolled the children in schools.

Weeks after, he, again through his ministry, donated a restaurant to the deceased family which was launched on Monday, June 20, 2022.
