Declare Bandits as Federal Civil Servants, Shehu Sani Tells FG

Shehu Sani, Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, has urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to declare bandits as federal civil servants since it has failed to view them as terrorists.

Sani through a post made on his Twitter handle said this.

He also expressed his bitter feeling towards the killing of Christian and Muslim worshippers in their religious houses by bandits.

He tweeted,

“They [bandits] killed Muslim worshippers in their mosques in Niger and Katsina states; they killed Christians in their Churches in Kaduna State; if the government doesn’t want to declare them terrorists, it should declare them federal civil servants.”

Also Sani, in reacted to the incident which took place on Sunday October 31, described the suspension of telecommunication services in the North which was meant to tackle the bandits as useless

“Yesterday’s attacks on the Baptist Church Kakau Daji, Kaduna State by terrorists, the killing of some worshippers and the abductions of scores of others are tragic and unfortunate. The suspension of the telecoms services in the North is useless.” he tweeted
