The Bauchi chapter of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has thrown its weight behind calls by various quarters on the federal government to declare bandits as terrorists.

The Senate, House of Representatives, Speakers House of Assemblies across the 36 states of the federation and notable Nigerians have all called on the federal government to declare the bandits as terrorists.

The association charged the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to do everything necessary to curb banditry in the country.

Chairman of Miyetti Allah in Bauchi State, Alhaji Sadik Ibrahim Ahmad, added his voice to the calls on Sunday, saying;

”As far as I am concerned, the nail must be hit on the head, who are the terrorists? Terrorists are people who try to destroy legitimate activities of society, they are not productive if the FG is serious, they should do the needful and provide a lasting solution to incessant killings by the so-called bandits.”

Speaking on the zoning arrangements among political parties for the 2023 general elections, Ahmad said the masses must be allowed to vote their choice of leaders irrespective of ethnicity.

“Whether you’re Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo, once you are competent, you should be qualified enough to lead the country. The issue of zoning cannot be and will never be a democratic process.

”People should go for leaders with integrity If we want to unite ourselves. Our leaders are the ones creating problems, confusion, and regional crises among us,” he argued.
