The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reaffirmed its readiness to welcome any Nigerian willing to join the ruling party, insisting that its doors remain open to all without restriction.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made this known on Monday during an interview on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme, where he addressed questions on the internal dynamics and growing influence of the APC across the country.

According to Morka, the APC does not speculate about future defectors but maintains a broad and inclusive structure capable of accommodating all who choose to align with the party.

He dismissed allegations that political figures are being pressured to defect, stressing that recent high-profile defections were driven by personal conviction rather than inducement.

Morka cited Kano State as an example, noting that any decision by a sitting governor or political leader to join the APC was made independently and without external pressure.

He further attributed the wave of defections to the performance of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, describing the reforms implemented over the past two years as difficult but necessary steps that are now yielding positive results.

According to him, the country is witnessing a renewed sense of direction, which has strengthened confidence in the APC-led federal government and contributed to the shifting political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.
