Dr. Braduce Amakazi Angazi, a frontline aspirant for the 2023 gubernatorial election in Delta State, has inaugurated campaign coordinators across the 25 local government areas in the state.
Braduce, who is contesting the seat under the People’s Democratic Party, oversaw the inauguration of the coordinators in a ceremony in Warri, on Saturday.
The former Commissioner of Agriculture charged the Coordinators to see the drive to govern the state as their personal project.
The quiet and unassuming politician said the coordinators were carefully selected for the job, and should see the task ahead as a project for the betterment of Deltans.
“I want to appeal to you, to take this job as a personal job, and not that of Braduce Angozi. If we can do this in every of our ward, we will come out victorious, and we all will be happy at the end,” he said.
On why the inauguration of a campaign was coming late, Braduce said starting first does not equate to winning.
The former Burutu Council boss stated he had been working engaging with critical stakeholders across borders on his ambition to govern the state.
“Before today, many had asked questions on while I had not comeout publicly, but be assured, I had been working from behind the scene, talking and discussing with leaders and stakeholders of our great party, PDP.”
“We should know that not the one who starts first, will come out first. My doing this now was deliberate, but now that the coordinators have been inaugurated, let us go out in our various wards, and work for our victory. Talk to the delegates, get them to our side.
“I assure you one thing, you will never regret working for this vision, let us individually put our best, to ensure victory, and get the party’s ticket,” he said.
Reacting to reports that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa already anointed a candidate, Braduce called to mind the governor’s promise of ensuring a free and fair primaries, saying he trusts the former will keep to his word.
“And again, the issue of the Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa anointing someone out of the numerous aspirants from the party is just false. He had told party faithfuls the primaries in the state will be free and fair. And I can assure you he still stand by that.”
While Braduce Angozi has had a very quiet campaign process compared to other governorship aspirants who daily traverse the state in a bid to win over stakeholders support, many points to his previous records in public service as a reason to believe in his Delta Transformation Road Map, dubbed “PROJECT TEAM”.
