Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has told the main opposition part in the state, the All Progressive Congress to not contest the forthcoming elections in the state.
Okowa said this while address a mammoth crowd of members and supporters at the mega rally of the People’s Democratic Party on Saturday in Asaba, the state capital.
The governor who spoke in the Pidgin English said;

“We De send message to pur brothers weh wan come contest for another party make them no waste their money, make dem no waste time because space no De for Delta State, because we’re in control.”
The governor’s speech was preceded by a long list of decamping members from the APC, who were received by the PDP Chairman, Kingsley Esiso.
“To our brothers and sisters that joined us from the APC, we welcome and we assure them that whatever is due to all PDP members, is due to them,” Okowa added.
On the forthcoming elections, Okowa asked for support from Deltans to enable the PDP continue in its development strides in the state.
“I ask for your support for the PDP, because we need to make a statement in Nigeria that Delta is PDP and PDP is Delta,” he pleaded.
