…Calls for Deltans to support an industrialist

A group under the aegis of Ijaw Political Solidarity Front, IPSF has thrown it’s weight behind the candidature of Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, in the race to the 2023 gubernatorial election in Delta state.

The group in a get-together press briefing on Wednesday in Warri, stated that the former minister of aviation and renowned industrialist will turn Delta state to an industrial hub when elected.

Leader of the group, High Chief Yusuf Eregbene, while addressing newsmen, maintained that it is the turn for Delta Central to produce the next governor of the state going by a zoning arrangement, and Kenneth Gbagi is the best bet amongst other candidates from Urhoboland.

The Ijaw Political Solidarity Front further called for support from all the Delta South and Delta North senatorial districts to support Kenneth Gbagi, saying unemployment and infrastructural decadence will all be squarely dealt with by the technocrat.

The brief briefing led by Chief Yusuf Eregbene reads in full;

The Ijaw Political Solidarity Front is a detribalised Ijaw group. Today is our public day of declaration of our support of Chief Kenneth Gbagi for the governorship primaries.

The political atmosphere at the moment is favourable to the Central Senatorial District in accordance with the understanding that has produced the governors of the state from Chief James Ibori to Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

The senatorial district arrangement/understanding has worked and has given peaceful transition over the years. The existing understanding / peace has paid off between the ethnic nationalities in the state.

I am using this medium to appeal passionately to our Ijaw leadership, brothers and sisters to honour the existing arrangement/understanding among the three senatorial districts to allow Delta Central to produce the next governor. Our position of privilege is to plan and prepare for the future.

Practically, let us all walk and work in unity to actualize a peaceful transition. The PDP family is a focused, united and strong formidable indivisible party in Delta State.

Let us keep the flag flying.
PDP all the way.

The get-together was attended by political bigwigs, women, youth groups and covered by prominent media houses cutting across the state.
