The Independent National Electoral Commission has reportedly issued governorship nomination form to Olorogun David Edevbie.
A source close to Edevbie told DAILY REPORT that the former Chief of Staff to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa was presented with the Form EC 13B on Tuesday by INEC.
“Yes. He was given the form yesterday (Tuesday) and is expected to submit as soon as possible,” the source said.

Edevbie, who contested the governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party, came second behind Sheriff Oborevwori in the election held in May.
However, a Federal High Court sitting presided over by Justice Taiwo Taiwo, disqualified the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly on the premise of discrepancies with his certificates, on July 7.
Justice Taiwo said the claimant, Olorogun David Edevbie proved beyond doubt that Oborevwori presented false information in his documents, hence adjudging him unqualified for the May 25 contest.
The court also prevented the PDP from transmitting Oborevwori’s name as its flag bearer to INEC for the 2023 election.
Justice Taiwo further ordered for the PDP and INEC to replace the Oborevwori with Edevbie as its governorship candidate for the 2023 contest having scored the second highest votes at the primary election.
Meanwhile, the Delta PDP Chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso told Oasis Magazine that he was not aware of INEC issuing Edevbie with the nomination form.
Esiso however, said the party’s original governorship candidate would be unveiled during its mega rally slated for Saturday at Ozoro.
