The said;
“My hearty congratulations to Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for being elected the next Governor of our beloved State, Delta.
“The great Nnamdi Azikiwe once wrote that “history will continue to vindicate the just.” Your victory in the polls, with votes from across the length and breadth of our State, bears witness to the acceptance of not just your party, the PDP, but also your ideology on street credibility, justice, fair play and zero tolerance for ethnic sentiment as a rebirth to a new Delta.
“At this historic moment, it is most important to say a hearty thank you to every Deltan who voted for a new Delta of inclusiveness that, Rt. Hon. Sheriff epitomises.
“Our votes have not just elected a Governor; our votes made history by electing a Speaker as Governor, which has also set a precedent that will have positive implications for good governance for the most vulnerable that will inspire hope for the common man.
“Dear Governor-elect, the journey has just begun. Still, I am full of confidence that you will provide the needed leadership that will foster peace, unity, economic prosperity and youthful participation in governance to strategically turn our State around for good.
“I have no doubt that you will work with dedicated and qualified Deltans, particularly women to protect our citizens, improve our economy, create jobs, improve education and reform governance. You will indeed do MORE as characterised by your MORE Agenda.
“My dear Governor-elect, Deltans voted you massively as the winner and you must pledge your commitment to Deltans and work vigorously for the public good of the State.”
