The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori has extended his lead in results the race to succeed Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in Osadebey House.

According to results announced from the INEC Collation Centre in Asaba, Oborevwori currently leads Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress by a wide margin.

The Delta State House of Assembly Speaker has won 8 out of 6 local government areas announced by INEC.

Oborevwori won in Ethiope East, Warri South, Patani, Oshimili North, Aniocha South, Sapele, Ndokwa East, Aniocha North and Ika North East Council Areas, while Omo-Agege won in Udu.
